Suman Sonthalia is an award-winning artist, presented with the President's National Award for Master Craftsperson in 2011, State Award in 2010, State Merit Award in 2009, and the prestigious Shilp Guru for Warli art in 2019.Suman hails from a conservative Marwadi family in Kolkata, and discovered a means of expression through her craft.Today, the artist draws inspiration from history, fantasy, and folklore to create masterpieces for discerning aficionados worldwide.
